Electrical appliances are products that can be seen everywhere in our home space. Electric water heater occupies an important position in our bathroom life, but it is inevitable to produce dirt after long use. What are the methods to remove dirt? Next, let's take a look at the descaling of electric water heater.
Electric water heater descaling, method 1, common methods:
First, unplug the power plug of the electric water heater from the socket and close the water inlet valve; Then loosen the outlet valve at the bottom of the water heater to drain the water and sediment inside the water heater. Then open the water inlet valve, wash the tank with tap water for 30 seconds, and then close the water inlet valve. When the water inside the electric water heater is drained out again, open the water inlet valve again, and wash the tank with tap water for 30 seconds (twice in total). Do not block the outlet of the electric water heater during the cleaning process.
After cleaning, return the drain switch of the electric water heater to its original position. Open the water inlet valve, fill the electric water heater with water, and heat it to the highest temperature (adjust the temperature controller to the highest temperature and heat it to automatic jump). Remove the power plug of the electric water heater from the socket again, close the water inlet valve, put a bucket under the electric water heater, and carefully loosen the water outlet valve at the bottom of the electric water heater (Note: avoid scalding!), Discharge the hot water inside the electric water heater; Then flush the tank of the water heater with tap water for 30 seconds (twice in total).
The main purpose of heating is to make use of the principle of thermal expansion and cold contraction to remove the scale on the tank and heating pipe surface of electric water heater. So far, the whole cleaning is completed.
Electric water heater descaling, method 2, light cleaning:
Do it yourself electric water heater is recommended to be cleaned once every three years. It can be cleaned once every six months. The cleaning steps are not complicated and can be completed by yourself.
Step 1: Unplug the socket and close the two angle valves.
Step 2: screw on the nut of the hot water port and block the hot water port to prevent the water from flowing out of the water heater. At the same time, screw on the nut of the cold water outlet, connect the hose (the sprinkler pipe) to drain water until there is no water flowing out of the cold water outlet. For a 50L water heater, drain water for about 1 hour.
Step 3: remove the hose connected to the cold water port, connect one end of the hose to the hot water port and the other end to the faucet, turn on the faucet to fill water for 1 minute, plug the cold water port, let the cold water put in the tank for a while, then turn on the cold water port to drain water, and repeat several times until the discharged water is clean.
Step 4: screw on the nuts of the cold water port and the hot water port, open the triangle valve, and turn on the hot water of the water heater faucet. After the water flows out, turn it off.
Method 3. Deep cleaning:
According to the introduction, the water heater needs to be deeply cleaned every three years, and the deep cleaning needs to open the maintenance hole of the water heater. Therefore, in order to ensure safety, it is best to ask a professional maintenance worker to clean it. Many people may feel that the water from a water heater that has been used for many years and has never been cleaned at home is still very clear, so they feel that there is no scale in it. In fact, there is more scale and other dirt in such a water heater, which is in urgent need of cleaning.
Inside the water heater, the hot water pipe orifice is at a high position, about 2 cm from the top of the tank, while the cold water pipe orifice is at a low position, about 3 cm from the bottom of the tank. When using the water heater at ordinary times, the cold water pipe always enters the water. The hot water is squeezed to the top by the cold water and comes out along the hot water pipe, while the scale is deposited at the bottom of the tank and will not be discharged through the hot water pipe.
